The TRVC Project Contributes to the Implementation of the 1 Million Hectares of High-Quality, Low-Emission Rice Program
The “Transforming Rice Value Chain for Climate Resilient and Sustainable Development in the Mekong Delta” (TRVC) Project is currently considered one of the practical models contributing to laying the foundation for the development of the 1 Million Hectares of High-Quality, Low-Emission Rice Program in the Mekong Delta, following the direction of the Vietnamese Government.
Through direct implementation in rice production areas, the project focuses on several key activities, including the application of low-emission farming techniques; strengthening connections among farmers, cooperatives, and enterprises; gradually standardizing sustainable rice production processes; and measuring greenhouse gas (CO₂) emissions in rice cultivation.

The total recorded emission reduction reached 1,988.64 tons of CO₂
During the 2025 Summer Autumn Rice Season, through the implementation of rice cultivation models in collaboration with farmers and cooperatives across the Mekong Delta region, Viet Nga Fertilizer achieved a total recorded emission reduction of 1,988.64 tons of CO₂.
With the achievements recorded in Season 3, Viet Nga Fertilizer received an award valued at 6,649 AUD (equivalent to approximately 118 million VND). According to the initial agreement of the project, after receiving the award from the Program Organizers, Viet Nga Fertilizer will coordinate the redistribution of the reward to its partner, Agricultural Cooperative No. 2, and the farmers participating in the model.

These achievements resulted from the collaborative implementation of low-emission rice production models with cooperatives and local farmers. Through the TRVC Project, Viet Nga Fertilizer has supported access to new farming techniques aimed at optimizing production costs, improving the efficiency of agricultural input use, and enhancing economic benefits for farming households.
At the same time, the company also collaborated in implementing the goals of Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI), aiming to develop a more sustainable agricultural production model that better aligns with current practical farming conditions.
Viet Nga Fertilizer Accompanies Farmers on the Journey Toward Sustainable Farming
