Viet Nga Agri has officially joined the Transforming Rice Value Chain for Climate Resilient and Sustainable Development (TRVC)<\/a> project \u2014 a key initiative launched and implemented in Vietnam by the SNV Netherlands Development Organisation, in collaboration with the Department of Crop Production (MARD) and the People\u2019s Committees of An Giang, Kien Giang, and Dong Thap provinces. <\/p>\n

The \u201cTransforming Rice Value Chain for Climate Resilient and Sustainable Development in the Mekong Delta (TRVC)\u201d Project<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Transforming Rice Value Chain for Climate Resilient and Sustainable Development in the Mekong Delta (TRVC) project is implemented from 2023 to 2027, benefiting around 200,000 farming households. The project provides cash-based incentive rewards for participants who achieve verified greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction targets, with emissions validated by independent verification agencies. The first crop under the TRVC project officially started during the Summer\u2013Autumn 2024 season. <\/p>\n

The TRVC project aims to support enterprises within the rice value chain in scaling up the adoption of advanced production technologies. Its key objectives include enhancing economic value for smallholder farmers and stakeholders, improving rice quality, while promoting social values, reducing GHG emissions, and protecting the environment. <\/p>\n

The project\u2019s outcomes are expected to contribute significantly to the implementation of Vietnam\u2019s national initiative: the \u201cOne Million Hectares of High-Quality, Low-Emission Rice Associated with Green Growth in the Mekong Delta\u201d program \u2014 initially from 2023 to 2027, with plans for further expansion in subsequent years.<\/p>\n
