Particularly in September, fruit and vegetable exports exceeded $917 million, a 38% increase and setting a new record. <\/p>\n<p>China remains the largest market, accounting for 67% of the total trade with $3.8 billion after nine months, a 38% increase compared to last year. China has created many favorable conditions for importing agricultural products, helping to predict that this year&#8217;s fruit and vegetable export turnover could reach 7 billion USD. <\/p>\n<p>With the current growth momentum and increasing demand from China, Vietnam&#8217;s fruit and vegetable industry is projected to continue setting new records.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in August, Vietnam signed a protocol for exporting frozen durian and fresh coconuts to China, opening up many opportunities for Vietnamese agricultural products. At a trade fair in China at the end of September, Mr. Cao Ba Dang Khoa, General Secretary of the Vietnam Coconut Association, said that many businesses had signed export contracts for 30-50 containers, and some even reached agreements to supply 1,500 containers.
