As a result, lotus production is no longer limited to selling fresh lotus, but is gradually shifting towards processing and manufacturing to enhance the value of the lotus plant.<\/p>\n<p>Lotus is a distinctive product and a brand of Dong Thap province. The highest concentration of lotus cultivation is in the districts of Thap Muoi, Cao Lanh, Chau Thanh, Tan Hong, and Tam Nong. Notably, Thap Muoi accounts for over 30% of the province&#8217;s lotus cultivation area. According to statistics, in 2023, lotus farmers in the province earned an average profit of over 28 million VND per hectare.   <\/p>\n<p>Currently, Dong Thap has more than 40 establishments producing and trading food products from lotus; 56 OCOP products made from lotus; and 4 lotus products certified to use the &#8220;Made in Dong Thap&#8221; trademark.<\/p>\n<p>According to lotus processing businesses in Dong Thap, market signals for this product are very positive, especially in the international market.
