How Effective Is the “Clean Rice – Safe Grain” Model Using 100% Organic Fertilizer from Viet Nga Agri?

Date 17/03/2025

The “Clean Rice – Safe Grain” project by Viet Nga Agri, implemented at the rice field of Mr. Nguyen Van Nup in Hong Ngu City, Dong Thap Province, has been successfully harvested with outstanding results.

Organic rice cultivation is gradually proving its effectiveness — not only helping farmers produce clean, safe products, but also reducing production costs, improving soil quality, and enhancing the value of rice grains.Join Viet Nga Agri as we follow the organic rice cultivation process at Mr. Nup’s field.

Cánh đồng lúa của anh Nguyễn Văn Núp nằm ở ấp Bình Thành B, Mr. Nguyen Van Nup’s rice field is located in Binh Thanh B Hamlet, Binh Thanh Commune, Hong Ngu City, Dong Thap Province, with an area of 0.7 hectares (equivalent to 5 large công).
This season, Mr. Nup cultivated the ST25 rice variety and used 100% organic fertilizers from Viet Nga Agri.

Under the guidance of Viet Nga Agri’s agricultural engineers, he applied organic fertilizers following the schedule and formula below:

Fertilization Stage Timing Product Name Dosage (kg / 5 large công)
Stage 1 12 days Organic Fertilizer 75% OM (Norway) 5 bags (125 kg)
Stage 2 25 days Organic Fertilizer 75% OM (Norway) 6 bags (150 kg)
Stage 3 30 days Organic Fertilizer 75% OM (Norway) 6 bags (150 kg)
Stage 4 40 days Organic Fertilizer 75% OM (Norway) 8 bags (200 kg)
Total 25 bags = 625 kg (for 5 large công / per season)

Outstanding Results from Using 100% Viet Nga Agri Organic Fertilizer

Evaluations from local farmers have shown that Viet Nga Agri’s organic fertilizer is highly compatible with rice crops. The fertilizer is easy to apply, requiring only one type for the entire season, and it adapts well to different soil types, weather conditions, and traditional farming practices.
When applied correctly and in the right dosage, the fertilizer helps rice plants tiller strongly and uniformly, with fewer pest and disease problems compared to traditional chemical-based methods. During the flowering stage, the rice shows long panicles, firm grains, sturdy stems, and reduced lodging, resulting in higher yields.

After just six days of the first fertilization, the root system developed vigorously, with new white roots emerging — a clear sign of healthy growth.

At 31 days after sowing, Mr. Nguyen Van Nup’s rice field displayed dense, healthy foliage, minimal pest presence, and lighter leaf color compared to fields using chemical fertilizers — an indicator of balanced, sustainable nutrition.

At 31 days, the rice roots in the field using Viet Nga Agri’s organic fertilizer were observed to be numerous, long, and healthy, with strong new root growth that enabled better nutrient absorption.

After three applications, farmers reported that the rice grew as well as with chemical fertilizers — with strong roots, good tillering, sturdy plants, fewer pests, and lower pesticide costs.

Mr. Nup shared: “I’ve been using Viet Nga Agri’s organic fertilizer for four seasons — about two years — and I’m very satisfied. My family feels confident growing clean rice, so we apply it every year. Farmers who haven’t tried it can test it on a small area first, and if it works well, continue using it long-term. Personally, I’ve found that organic fertilizer helps reduce spraying work and lower costs significantly. Overall, I’m very pleased with this crop!”

With its natural biomass composition derived from salmon, Viet Nga Agri’s Organic Fertilizer 75% OM (Norway) provides a rich source of nutrients, improving soil fertility and enhancing rice plant health. Thanks to its high organic content of up to 75%, this product not only promotes strong growth, firm roots, and full grains, but also protects the environment and prevents soil degradation caused by the overuse of chemical fertilizers.

Mr. Nguyen Van Nup shared: “At first, I used it to compare the difference between organic and chemical fertilizers, hoping to grow safe rice for my family’s consumption. After applying it, I found that organic fertilizer significantly reduced pests and diseases, producing cleaner rice that’s safer for our health. Although the amount of fertilizer used is slightly higher than chemical ones, I’ve greatly reduced the need for pesticides and fungicides. In fact, since switching to organic fertilizer, my field has seen over an 80% reduction in pest and disease issues.”

By using 100% Viet Nga Agri organic fertilizer combined with biological plant protection products, Mr. Nguyen Van Nup’s rice field achieved significant reductions in chemical fertilizer and pesticide costs, resulting in less environmental pollution. The rice plants were healthy, highly resistant to pests and lodging, and delivered an impressive yield of about 1,029 kg per công.

Compared to neighboring fields, throughout the cultivation process, his rice plants exhibited uniform growth, lush green foliage, strong and thick stems, and vigorous tillering. At the same time, the crop experienced minimal pest pressure and showed excellent resilience to unfavorable weather conditions.
