In 10 Months, Vietnam’s Cashew Industry Completed Its Export Plan

With the current growth momentum, Vietnam’s cashew industry has completed its 2024 production plan and is expected to continue setting new records in the final month of the year.

According to the Import and Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), in October 2024, Vietnam exported 65.22 thousand tons of cashew nuts, worth over USD 424 million, an increase of 1.3% in volume and 18.4% in value compared to the same period last year.

In the first 10 months of 2024, Vietnam exported 609.23 thousand tons of cashew nuts, valued at nearly USD 3.58 billion, marking an increase of 17.9% in volume and 21.4% in value compared to the same period in 2023. The cashew industry achieved its annual export target within just 10 months, with expectations to reach a record of over USD 4.5 billion by year-end, supported by stable demand from key markets such as the United States, the European Union, and China.

Vietnam recorded impressive export growth to markets including the U.S., China, the Netherlands, and the UAE, while exports to Saudi Arabia slightly decreased by 1.9% in volume but increased by 9% in value.

Notably, processed cashew products such as W180, W450, and WS/WB have become increasingly popular, indicating positive prospects for Vietnam’s cashew industry.
